Marian Hossa's Interview with MTV Cribs

This was too funny to pass up for the site. A great testament to Marian's judgment and timing.

Play Him Off Keyboard Cat!

A Change of Words

Dear Marion,

You said, "When I compared the two teams, I felt like I would have a little better of a chance to win the Cup in Detroit."

I say, "When I compared the two players, I felt like the Pens would have a better chance to win the Cup with Guerin."

Thanks for the Memories

Dear Marian,

I have to admit, as a Pens fan I was really upset at you when you bailed on us last year. To openly say I am taking the one-year deal in order to win a cup made me doubt the Pen's ability to win this year. All of my fears were coming true throughout the season when the Pens hit their big slump. Despite all of that, I would really like to thank you for picking the Wings. The rematch story was kind of boring, and without you on the opposing team, we would have simply been treated to montage after montage of the life and times of Crosby (love the guy, but seriously Vs. and NBC need to get new human interest stories for hockey players or just do better analysis about the games rather than creaming over the same player time after time). I would also like to thank you for playing at a level well below the level you played last year in the finals. With you I do not think the Pens could have won the cup.

Go Pens Go!

Red Wings Fans Still Love You

All a person can do is guarantee the work you will do, not the results. No one can claim you did not give your best in the playoffs.

The Red Wings are still the best bet to win the Stanley Cup next year. Stick with your decision of last year.

Old Timer Hockey

Dear Marian,

It must be nice to be young and care free. At the tender age of thirty, signing one year deals must make you feel young and full of energy. With such a long career ahead of you, you must be glad to know that you denied yourself close to $30 mil only to become one of the greatest punchlines in hockey history. Way to go smart guy.

I See a Trend

Dear Marian,

Maybe you can sign with the Sharks next year. They are due to make it to the finals and need your ability to not show up in the finals to help them lose.

Thanks for saving us the money

Dear Marian,

At first I was upset. We offered you everything and gave up a lot to acquire your services. You helped us get to the finals last year, and then leave because we were not good enough to win a cup. Thank you for being so faithless. By not accepting the massive amounts of money we offered you we were able to sign better players, allow us to keep Orpik, and gave everyone on the team a reason to play that much harder in the finals. Now that your contract is up in Detroit, maybe you can sign with another contender. We don't want you back.

Thank you for your production

Dear Marian,

Thank you for playing such a vital scoring role in the Finals. Given your determination to win the cup you would think that you could have played the role that most teams sought your services. The hockey gods must have favored you so much that they let Ericsson put up more goals in the final than you. Way to go,
